The Calabria family’s more recent premium red releases are now Barossa, with a step up in quality expectations (and price). This Calabria Three Bridges Grenache 2018 leans a little too much on the toasty oak for my tastes, but good commercial appeal, helped along by generous red fruit. Not delicate and both acidity and alcohol high, but an easy pleasure for sure. Best drinking: now to short/medium term. The oak helps prop up the palate too. 17/20. 90/100. 14.5%, $35. Calabria Wines website. Would I buy it? A glass.
