Lino Ramble Tom Bowler Nero d’Avola 2018

Review: Lino Ramble Tom Bowler Nero d’Avola 2018

I am very here for the new wave of McLaren Vale Nero. So black. So juicy, so much flavour. This Lino Ramble Tom Bowler Nero d’Avola 2018 comes from two organic vineyards, the juice wild fermented in all old oak with no additions save for some sulphur. It’s loaded with black jelly beans, with rippling waves of juicy fruit and the late tannic grip. It’s bold, but ultimately just medium bodied, juicy without being heavy. I started thinking not about Nero d’Avola, but it’s Etna sibling Nerello Mascalese. And I like what I tasted. Best drinking: over the next 8 years. 18/20, 93/100. 14%, $30. Lino Ramble website. Would I buy it? Worth a bottle
