Aged Hunter Semillon from the Eather family. This Meerea Park Aged Release Alexander Munro Semillon 2014 has a core of quite ripe and forward fruit – a chunkier Sem for Meerea Park, the flavours head almost into tangerine and riper mandarin fruit. It works though, a well of dense flavour, long and powerful, it’s less linear than your usual Hunter Valley Semillon but quality wine all the same. Best drinking: good now and for the next decade. 18/20, 93/100. 11%, $50. Meerea Park website. Would I buy it? Worth a bottle at this fair price.
