Barbera is such a promising variety for the Adelaide Hills, the range of styles as diverse as it is in Piedmont. This RedHeads Rusty Roof Barbera 2019 fits into the darker, barrel matured end of the spectrum and it works, successfully negotiates the acid/ripeness balance. It’s full through tbe middle, maybe a little confected, but easy appeal. Charisma at a very fair price. Best drinking: Over the next five years. 17.7/20, 92/100. 14.5%, $25. RedHeads website. Would I buy it? Sure would.
