Paisley is a newish Barossan producer with a suite of classic styles. They lean towards big flavour and big personalities and the prices are fair. This Paisley Turntable GSM 2018 is thick, oak chunky, traditionally full Barossa GSM, leading with woodsmoke, caramel, plum – the lot. Maybe too dense, but on a pound-for-pound basis, there is appeal here (even if it’s not my chosen style). Best drinking: now to ten years plus. 17/20, 90/100. 14.5%, $25. Paisley Wines website. Would I buy it? No, but that’s a style thing. Will find lots of fans.
