Taltarni Dynamic Shiraz Viognier 2020

Review: Taltarni Dynamic Shiraz Viognier 2020

I still don’t see the word Dynamic anywhere on the bottle of this Taltarni Dynamic Shiraz Viognier 2020. Maybe it’s an internal thing? Anyway, this is ripe Pyrenees red in a lush style. Feels every bit of its 14.5% alcohol with slick purple fruit, in an ultra-smooth and chocolatey flow. It’s just a bit sticky in that hit of richness, though – like chocolate filled with caramel. That silken palate is going to win lots of friends though. The more you look, the warmer it gets, but it’s unquestionably long, hence the silver medal score. Best drinking: over the next five years. It will live, but the alcohol might well take over. 17/20, 90/100. 14.5%, $28. Taltarni website. Would I buy it? No.
