Zema Estate Cluny Cabernet Merlot 2018

Zema’s approachable and well-priced $25 Cluny Cabernet Merlot 2018

Firstly, what a treat to get four-year-old Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot for sub $30! Coonawarra Cab, even in easier forms, needs the age, and it helps give this an edge. The Zema Estate Cluny Cabernet Merlot 2018 is still a firm, dry, slightly minty red, but a shedload more approachable than the straight Cabernet. Lots of dark berries carry it, albeit with slightly astringent tannins.

No shortage of flavour for $24.99!

Best drinking: now, and for a decade easy. 17.5/20, 91/100. 14.5%, $24.99. Zema Estate website. Would I buy it? A glass.
