Blackstone Paddock The Player Shiraz 2021

Review: Blackstone Paddock The Player Shiraz 2021

Why buy Pepperjack Shiraz for $20 when you can get an awfully similar-styled Barossa Shiraz from Aldi for $13? The Blackstone Paddock The Player Shiraz 2021 is all about saturated plum, inky juicy fruit that runs deep if slightly confected. There’s loads of gummy, plummy berry fruit here that it’s going to win friends; the coconut and caramel oak just add more generosity. It’s not sophisticated (and not my sort of wine), but it packs lots of deep red plum flavour for few dollars.
