Castle Rock Estate Diletti Pinot Noir 2022

Review: Castle Rock Estate Diletti Pinot Noir 2022. The best Castle Rock Pinot yet

Rob Diletti believes that his Porongurup vineyard can make great Pinot (as he talked about in this interview). For mine, it seems like more promise and hope than reality so far, but gee this Castle Rock Estate Diletti Pinot Noir 2022 plays a strong hand.

Light ruby, and a bright raspberry wine with a little mint. Very light touch here – it’s a limpid fresh, pretty, raspberry wine built on acidity. It needs a little bit more grunt, but the lack of the dry reddish, bacon bits and dry tannins, typical Great Southern Pinot mode is so welcome.

A Pinot success story, right here.
