Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Chardonnay 2019

Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Chardonnay 2019. Star power Chardonnay

Late last year, the 2021 version of this Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Chardonnay blitzed everything at the Sydney Wine Show. This 2019 is older, a little broader, but just as trophy-worthy. It’s a lovely Margaret River Chardonnay. It leans towards more winemaking artifice, with gumball and flint reduction, but there’s mandarin and this expressive, buttered grapefruit Margaret River stamp, with just a little toasty mothball bottle aged at the edges. It’s precise. It’s mouthwatering and clean and grapefruity. It feels masterful and ultimately delicious.

  1. Managed to score some 2019 as a Mystery wine for $30, drank one but sitting on the other 5. Agree with your assessment completely.
