Oakridge Henk Pinot Noir 2022

Review: Oakridge Henk Pinot Noir 2022

Strong name, Henk. Often the best Yarra Valley Pinot Noir in the Oakridge single vineyard range too. It is a beautiful wine this vintage, too, with lucid red fruit to the fore, even if it’s just a little bonier than some years, which means you can see the vanilla oak and the acidity. More light to medium weight. Gee, it’s pretty, though, with quality tannins. A class act, even if it could do with a bit more meat on the bones.

    THE VERDICT

  • Best drinking: no hurry. Likely better in another year.
  • Score (out of 20): 18
  • Score (out of 100): 93
  • Alcohol %: 12.9
  • RRP (in $AUD): 48
  • Winery website: https://oakridgewines.com.au/
  • Would I buy it?: a few glasses
