Forrest Botrytised Riesling 2018

Review: Forrest Botrytised Riesling 2018

Riesling in Marlborough is like the forgotten sister trapped in the dungeon, Cinderella-style. No need for a fairy godmother, though, just some botrytis to turn it into golden goodness, especially at Forrest. Plenty of the distinctive dusty spice of botrytis in this sweet delight, too. Orange marmalade fruit, orange syrup, and this expansive plumpness and creamy edges. It’s a bit syrupy but also delicious in its orangey sweet/sour contrasts.
