Cape Barren Old Vine Shiraz 2019

Review: Cape Barren Old Vine Shiraz 2019

Aiming for the stars, this is a plush, touched-up, fully proportioned alcoholic style of big-hearted McLaren Vale Shiraz from the Cape Barren property (which is now owned by CW Wines). It’s a bit volatile, a bit old school, and very plush with loads of sweet berry chocolate red fruit. Gentle, round, warm, hardly sophisticated, but plenty of lush flavour – it’s going to win friends.
