Gundog Estate The Chase Semillon 2024

Patience required with the Gundog Estate The Chase Semillon 2024

The only chasing this shy, green appley Gundog Estate The Chase Semillon 2024 is off into the cellar. Boom-tish. I’ll be 44 in a few weeks, so Dad jokes like this are now essential. Anyway, this Sem just needs time. Matt Burton has delivered a wine with all the classic Hunter Valley Semillon lines, including a little lemongrass, loads of green apple and hay, ample dry extract, and buzzy acidity. It ticks many Hunter Sem boxes, but it’s just a little sour and greenish for now.
