Limefinger Solace Polish Hill River Riesling 2024

This comes with a sorry note: Limefinger Solace Polish Hill River Riesling 2024

I wrote this note a few months back and never published it, and now the wine is sold out. Apologies, everyone. Do yourself a favour and get in early for Neil Pike’s 2025s (website here). As ever with the Limefinger wines, the outsized concentration is the marker here. It’s like Clare Riesling on steroids. It’s so potent and fragrant yet super tight. Less open and expressive than the Watervale, more steepy-eyed glare. Wow, concentration – you feel like you’re chewing on limes. It’s not harsh acidity either – just power and weight for days. Top-shelf stuff.
