Harewood Great Southern Riesling 2024

Review: Harewood Great Southern Riesling 2024

To continue today’s International Riesling Day (I hate grape days, but here we are) review flourish, we’re moving onto the entry-level wine Harewood’s rather large range. This Harewood Great Southern Riesling 2024 so bloody good for $20. Juicy green melon fruit, then green acidity takes over – it’s plump but crisp, maybe a bit diffuse, but again, $20. Medium-bodied, lovely flesh, not profound, but a really nice open and quite concentrated wine.

    THE VERDICT

  • Best drinking: nowish
  • Score (out of 20): 17.5
  • Score (out of 100): 91
  • Alcohol %: 12
  • RRP (in $AUD): 20
  • Winery website: https://harewood.com.au/
  • Would I buy it?: worth a bottle

  1. Such a great cellar door with lovely wines across the board. Up there with the best CDs (including.MR) when campervan-travelling in WA some years ago.

    1. Has been a while since I’ve been to the Great Southern but a lovely part of the world. Just wish it wasn’t so far from Sydney.
