Already my search for bargains comes up trumps.
This is made very carefully indeed, with the measured quantity of whole bunches in the (tank) ferment, the wines then spending an extra week on skins post ferment (good for colour and structure), with malo taking place in old puncheons. Spot on handling really.
What a lovely bright and fruit driven, joyous style of wine this is too, all vibrant fruit but backed with proper fruit tannins too. Dry, articulate and ultimately more seriously structured than expected. Fun, refreshing but also not confected or contrived. Drinkable+.
Drink: 2013-2016
Score: 17.5/20 91/100
Would I buy it? Yes. At a cheap Spanish restaurant I would drink this with aplomb.
