I’m mired in uni assignments this weekend, with several thousand words on Precision Viticulture to wade through by the end of next week (fun).

This Riesling, however, is lightening up my evening. It’s the best Pizzini Riesling I can remember, carrying a near perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Wonderfully floral aromatics too, with the barest hint of fairy floss in amongst the jasmine prettiness, all sitting over a tangy palate with just the slightest hint of residual sweetness to match the firm citrussy acidity. It’s perhaps a slightly short finish, but that’s one of the few quibbles.

Fabulous drinkability and bloody ridiculous value, I’d drink it now for the freshness and aromatic intensity.
