Ah I like this. There’s a real earthen. tannin driven sensibility about this that makes you want to drink more. Or at least I did. I like the saucisson on the nose and the blackness of those tannins, capped off by that spritzy acidity that I always see in Waipara Pinot (and love).

While it definitely doesn’t jump out at you with bold fruit or excitement, the utterly savoury (yet ripe) palate is rather appealing.

Score: 17.5/20, 91/100+
Would I buy it? On a list, I think a few glasses (with a charcuterie plate) would go very nicely.
