Bright maroon purple, with lifted white pepper and blueberry, the Viognier (5%) a slightly noticeable influence, but palate silkiness and late palate bitterness balances out the fleshy fruit.
You get the feeling that Drew is on the cusp of perfection here, though the bitterness is not going to be for all. I love the lusciousness with restraint and spice though – refreshing AND classy.
