Way Wood Wines Cabernet Sangiovese 2013
Dark maroon red, it’s great to see some clear Sangio varietal character here, with red berries, leather and bark to complement the heavy toast oak and dark berry Cabernet fruit. Actually the thick cut, palate is framed with oak too, a palate that is rather substantial and blockish with oak tannins to finish.
Genuinely substantial style and quite meaty too. Love the depth here, though it is just a fraction oak driven. Age is going to be very kind, so drink in the future.
