Tim Adams Clare Valley Pinot Gris 2016
Please Aussie wine world, send us more textural Pinot Gris and less flavourless Pinot Grigio. It’s the right thing to do.
Clare
This Clare Gris is more like it. Just off-dry, with pressings returned to the blend for extra texture, there’s even a little hint of blush. The pressings clearly give an extra bit of grip, which offsets the sweetness nicely, before a palate that is ultimately lean and tight.
Solid, fresh and dry white wine with a little extra palate weight to take a simple wine further. Best drinking: 2017-2022. 17.5/20, 91/100. 12.5%, $22. Would I buy it? I’d drink a few glasses no probs.
