Tim Adams Semillon 2014
Nice to see an aged Semillon from somewhere not the Hunter. Likely a tricky sell though. A textural style that hasn’t lost its lustre, there’s lots of lemon citrus, it’s broad through the middle despite the low alcohol, the oak adding weight but perhaps not enough complexity. Enjoyable fresh white, with good flavour penetration.
Best drinking: Now, but it will live for at least five years. Not sure it will get better. 17/20, 90/100. 12%, $24. Would I buy it? A glass.
