From the Millon Wines stable, though I’ve never seen a bottle of this Clare’s Secret Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 locally. Export special? Inspired by Lasingham Bin 56, this is chunky, rustic and tannic hearty red wine. Winter drinking. Sure, it’s driven by slightly rough oak and oak tannins, but I can’t deny the old school heartiness and grip. Ultimately a lot of wine for $18. Best drinking: now to at least eight years. 17/20, 90/100. 13.5%, $18. Would I buy it? A glass.
