Indomitus Rosa 2022

Super smart rosé from Gundog in the Indomitus Rosa 2022

I was banging on earlier in the week about Matt Burton’s experiments. This Indomitus Rosa 2022 is one that just works. Hilltops Nebbiolo (from the Freeman Vineyard) rosé in a riper textural style. Wild fermented in barrel and it shows – this is almost light red rather than pink wine, with layers of flavour. A grown-up, sensual rosé that feels gentle and quite delicious.

Best drinking: now. 17.7/20, 92/100. 13.5%, $45. Gundog website. Would I buy it? I’d share a bottle.
