Kellybrook Willowlake Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

Review: Kellybrook Willowlake Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

A few Kellybrook wines on the tasting bench this week, and again, this is a small Yarra winery doing good things. Just 50 dozen produced of this 2020 Willowlake Pinot (and perhaps all gone). A great expression of Upper Yarra Valley Pinot it is, too. Very light ruby colours and a delicate wine with a lucid, coppery beauty to it. Cherries, undergrowth, sappy hints, slightly ferrous tannins and detail. It’s lithe and acidic and very much pure Yarra Pinot in an understated, savour-me mode. I like.
