Forrest Riesling 2020

Review: Forrest Riesling 2020

Marlborough Riesling is usually a high point in the Forrest range. This wine is in a weird spot – there’s a little toast in amongst an ocean of green grapefruit and green apple. It’s still backward, abruptly fresh, with a whisper of terpenes, but ultimately in a development hole. Not an easy wine, as zero primary fruit, but the intensity underneath is unquestioned. Hold and wait to see what comes out the other side.
