Mayfield Vineyard Mrs Crawford Pinot Noir 2023

Review: Mayfield Vineyard Mrs Crawford Pinot Noir 2023

From Orange, which has very few orange wines (but a few amber wines. That went well, didn’t it). Anyway, this is a lucid, raspberry-perfumed Pinot Noir with a slightly herbal edge. It’s a bit light and early picked on the palate – the red fruit doesn’t quite carry through to the finish, and the oak streak through the middle makes that even more apparent. Still, a wine of such joyous fruit and raised acidity freshness.
