A consistently high-quality Orange white, Pete Logan’s Chardonnay is in particularly clever, stylish modern form here.

Restrained, elegant, lees (rather than oak) driven, the wine built on acidity. Not Chablis-esque as there is too much citrus for that, but wonderfully fresh and clean with excellent length and grapefruit acidity. Perhaps a little lean and I think a little more MLF wouldn’t go astray. But gee this is crisp and well handled Chardonnay with very clear lines.Much to like and will only get better.

Drink: 2014-2017
Score: 17.7/20, 92/100+
Would I buy it? For the sub $20 special price that’s a yes!
