Review: Mérite Malbec 2016

On the heels of the quality blend comes another ambitious Wrattonbully red heroing Malbec. It’s oak-shaped, but no doubting the quality, the hints of mint and mid-weight, smooth grained and textured palate signalling a wine that is more mod. Bordeaux than Mendoza and hints at future glories. Promise, even if oak is the dominant force.

Best drinking: wait 3 and then drink for ten plus years. 17.7/20, 92/100+. 14%, $60. Would I buy it? A glass.
