This is great dry Australian rosé. More importantly, it’s delicious.
Apparently the key here is the clone, with 1-11 tagged as the rosato clone. Early ripening, nice aromatics. Fits the bill.
This is very nice too. Gentle, pink grapefruit and roses – it’s varietal, dry, serious. It’s actually ripe too – there’s this polished middle, a convincing push of fruit to carry it along, and acidity is balanced if a bit taut. Top flight Australian rosé, does it again, needing only a fraction more generosity on the back end to be world class.
Best drinking: now. 18/20, 93/100. 13%, $26. Longview Vineyard website. Would I buy it? Yes yes.
